About rodney Hylton-potts

The man behind the cases,

the headlines and the controversy.

Across scandals, victories, mistakes and reinventions, he has remained unapologetically himself.

This book is the first time he tells the story in full.

Rodney Hylton-Potts built his reputation in the courtroom, working on cases that demanded accuracy, speed and a clear head. For 25 years he was a London solicitor working across divorce, family disputes, criminal defence, benefit and tax credit matters, company law and insolvency. He also handled complex litigation and arbitration work, and holds an ICC Certificate of Achievement in arbitration.

His direct, no-nonsense style earned him the nickname “The Rottweiler,” which followed him through much of his legal career.

Rodney has been interviewed on BBC News, Sky News, Newsnight, Channel 4 News and BBC Radio 5 Live. His work has been covered by newspapers and magazines including The Times, The Independent, Private Eye, Billboard Magazine and others. In 2005 he appeared on the ITV political programme Vote For Me and went on to win the competition.

He also founded his own political party, the Get Britain Back Party, and ran against Michael Howard in 2005. The party used the line “We want our country back,” a phrase that later appeared in wider political campaigns.

“The narrative is absolutely accurate, verified and fact-checked through my files. I have avoided any embellishment or exaggeration. Fact is indeed stranger than fiction"

Rodney Hylton-Potts

After decades of high-profile legal work, media attention and public scrutiny, Rodney now shares his experiences in a way that reflects the reality of his career and the events he lived through.
